Scammed. What do I Do? - Guild Wars Forums

Hello I have had this game for 3 years and just got scammed bad (yes I know it???s partly my own fault for falling for it).

What happened was in Kamadan a player who claimed to be German was selling a Q9 inscribable magmas shield for 100+40. When I attempted to trade with him he kept saying dulano and said he didn???t know the translation in English. Well I tried to trade with him 3 times and pretty much gave up and then he came to me about 2 minutes later and opens trade, I enter 100+40 once again ask what dulano means. Well this time he just accepted but this time it was A uninscribable magmas in the trade and I didn???t realize until after the deal was finished. He then immediately logged off onto another character and put me on ignore.

I have pictures of what happened but what I am asking is what I can do to report his behavior so that it happens to nobody else. This is obviously something he has done before and will do again. I know I will never get my gold back but I would like to prevent this happening to anyone else.

I have had played this game since the early betas in 2004 but at this point I feel awful and want to quit.

Any help will be appreciated.

You're mistake, you can't fix stupid, and Guild Wars doesn't reward for kindness in the past unless you're the person who thought of the idea for Shiro Tagachi to use Battle Scars.

sorry dude, its quite sucky when you get scammed, it has happened to me a few times, however there is naff all that anyone can do, as you should have checked the item before clicking, eventhough he switched it on you.

you can try to report him with your evidence but i doubt he will et banned, what you should do is talk to a friend online to speak to him/her and say you are reporting them, i once got my money back from a scammer who thought their account was going to get banned.

You have my sympathies. The poster right below your original post is a jackass, ignore him. You're almost definitely not going to get your money back, but perhaps you could try scaring him for your money back, and at the very least, you can tell ANet about it so they can monitor him.

You make a dumbass thread about thinking you broke the economy then you come here and say this. When someone is legitamtly concerned. The type of person that ruins the game. Sigh
